FYI, this story is more than a year old

Toshiba is putting its money on connectivity in the home with the launch of its new notebook-friendly TVs in New Zealand.

Releasing the TVs along with the new Toshiba notebook lineup, Toshiba Australia managing director Mark Whittard says his company is ‘operating in a market driven by the need for interconnectivity and choice.

"Consumers are increasingly looking to connect, share and enjoy content in their own homes, whether it’s streaming video to their TVs, viewing photos, browsing the web, listening to music or gaming.”

Whittard says the TV range is DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compliant, meaning it is certified to be compatible with other devices from different manufacturers.

"This makes it easy for consumers to stream photos, videos, music and other content from other DLNA devices through the Toshiba TVs.”
