UPDATE - 2pm: A spokesperson for Blizzard Entertainment has contacted Game Console to advise that this position advertised by Blizzard is by no means indicative or confirmation of Diablo III for console. Instead, he advises that Blizzard's position is identical to that from the last time such speculation surfaced and that Blizzard is simply exploring the possibility of a console port.

ORIGINAL STORY: Blizzard has advertised an available position that puts a console version of Diablo III beyond doubt: specifically, the publisher has advertised for a full-time "Senior Producer, Console Diablo III".

We've done this dance before, with Blizzard opting to deny that previously advertised positions were indicative of a console version. But I think we can all agree that this latest revelation puts paid to any uncertainty.

It's still too early to say, however, whether Diablo III will head to both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well as PC. Also, while Diablo III was initially scheduled for release this year, recent events have cast that into uncertainty.
