FYI, this story is more than a year old

Vietcong 2 is a first-person shooter set against the background of the 1968 Tet Offensive, in and around the ancient city of Hue (pronounced Who-ay), during the Vietnam War. Brought to life through a gritty story compiled from first hand historical accounts and memories of Special Forces and Infantry servicemen stationed in Hue - you take the role of a US Captain tasked with escorting a war reporter who is covering the traditional New Year (Tet) festivities during a ceasefire. You progress from joyous New Year celebrations in a US compound into bloody conflict as the surrounding Vietcong launch into a vicious attack.

Also included is a Vietcong campaign, in which the player can take the role of a young Vietcong conscript, fighting the South Vietnamese Army in the rice fields and jungle around his village, eventually becoming a Sergeant in the Hue Uprising and storming the Imperial Palace. Players can expect a range of vehicles, real-life weaponry, co-operative, deathmatch and other multiplayer modes as well as realistic AI in this heart-pounding battle for survival.
