Who said PC gaming was dead?
Tue, 1st Feb 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

CATACLYSM launched simultaneously in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand on December 7th, with the game going live in Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau on the 9th. Day-one sales topped 3.3 million, making it the fastest-selling PC game of all time, shattering the previous record, which was held by the second WoW expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. It’s safe to say that the new record will only be broken by Blizzard’s next release. "We created thousands of new quests, introduced new lands to explore and extensively revamped the game world for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, making it our biggest and most ambitious expansion yet," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard boss. "We’ve been floored by the community's response so far, and we'd like to thank them for their continued passion and support for World of Warcraft, and for helping Cataclysm reach this incredible milestone."Now that’s all well and good, but what did Game Console reviewer Hamish Bode think of Cataclysm? Turn to page 56 for his verdict (don’t fret; he really, really liked it).
