FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple has released the latest version of its mobile operating system, iOS 4, which brings much-requested features such as multitasking and a universal inbox to the world of iPhone.

With the new multitasking feature, your iPhone dashboard will feature a dock that shows all running applications you can switch to and from. The update also features folders for apps that significantly help declutter the homescreen. iPhone backgrounds also now have the ability to be customised.

iOS 4 will be compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G. Not all features are compatible with all devices though - multitasking is available only with iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS.

If you're a 3G user, is this latest update enough to nudge you into upgrading when iPhone 4 is released or are you happy with the features and functions you've got?
