Details for downloadable content for both Left 4 Dead 2 and the Dead Rising franchise has been detailed at X10 in San Francisco today.

Firstly, as previously mentioned in Game Console's earlier X10 coverage, a downloadable game bridging the gap between Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 will be available to download on Xbox Live in the lead-up to the release of Dead Rising 2. While Dead Rising 2 itself will not be an Xbox 360 exclusive like its predecessor (with versions for PC and PS3 on the way), this downloadable game will be.

Valve also showcased its first downloadable content pack for Left 4 Dead 2 at the event. Entitled ‘The Passing', the pack will see the cast of Left 4 Dead 2 to meet up with the cast from its predecessor. The Left 4 Dead crew will appear as non-playable characters. The pack will also add a new type of infected type, the Fallen Survivor.

Also announced by Valve is a downloadable content pack for Left 4 Dead that will only be playable with that game. Reportedly, the upcoming pack will release around a month after ‘The Passing' and will detail the events that led the original crew to rendezvous with the protagonists from Left 4 Dead 2.
